Shows in 2004
August 22, 2004: Usher
Fleetcenter, Boston, MA
Allison, Joanie and I were totally into Usher in our Junior year of high school. We got all dressed up and had some fun rubbing it in a certain someones face that we were going to the show and he wasn't... long story that I won't get into. Haha.
The show was amazing-- we had 17th row on the floor. Allison CRIED when Usher came out (she was seriously in love with him). The most memorable moment was when he picked a girl from the audience to bring on stage to sing "Do It To Me" to, and was grinding with her, then on top of her on a bed, and even KISSED HER! We all were in shock and sooo jealous-- we had our hands over our mouths, and I remember looking around and the entire audience was doing the same thing!
October 9, 2004: JoJo
State Fair
We went to some Fair where JoJo was performing in a barn-- LOL. There weren't that many people there. Allison, Joanie and I decorated our jackets with JoJo song titles and lyrics. After the performance, she went into a little trailer that was right next to the stage. We waited outside of it in hopes of meeting her. There were only like 30 people waiting, and they actually sent out a body double with a sheet over her head that got in a car and left, so that we would think she was gone. We aren't stupid, and when the trailer door opened we could see her still in there!! Then there was only like 10 of us, mostly little kids, that were waiting, so we thought she would definitely come and say hello. We waited FOREVER, and she finally came out, barely waved to us, and left. So lame. I thought JoJo was my homegirl. :-/
December 9, 2004: Kiss 108 Jingle Ball '04
Tsongas Arena, Lowell, MA
This was the ultimate, best Jingle Ball ever. EVER. They actually had to move the start time to an hour earlier because their were SO many performers. I think it was like 5 or 6 hours in total. The performers were: Ashlee Simpson, JoJo, Ryan Cabrera, Black Eyed Peas, Gavin DeGraw, Kelly Clarkson, Simple Plan, John Mayer, Switchfoot, Vanessa Carlton, Christina Millian, and Frickin A and Tyler Hilton. Basically every amazing pop act around at the time. This was the first time seeing RyCab and I instantly loved him. John Mayer's guitar playing was mesmerizing. We were so mad that Tyler Hilton was there because he was evil Chris Keller on One Tree Hill so we were booing him like crazy. Then Frickin A came and stood in front of us and we thought we were really cool because we kept yelling "Fricking A is fricking awesome!"
