Shows in 2001

July 7, 2001: Backstreet Boys
Fleetcenter, Boston, MA
This was a very significant concert. This show was the last one the Backstreet Boys did before they announced that AJ was going into rehab. I remember noticing that AJ was acting a little wild that night-- extra dirty dancing and all. But I didn't mind it-- haha! BUT two days later when I saw them on TRL, and it was just the 4 of them, it was the worst feeling ever. I thought AJ died! I was soooo upset and shocked that he was in rehab- it ruined a part of my innocence! My mom took me shopping to cheer me up and bought me the European version of the "Backstreet's Back" album and I listened to "10,000 Promises" over and over again and wallowed in my 14 year old depression.

August 23, 2001-- Dream Street
Square One Mall, Saugus, MA
The thing I remember most about this show was how bad my feet hurt!!! Sarah and I stood in the same spot for 6 HOURS at the Square One Mall waiting for the show to start! We had good spots, until these radio winners all got to cut in front of us! We were so mad. We got to meet DreamStreet after the show and got hugs and autographs. Oh Greg Raposo <3

September 9, 2001-- Backstreet Boys
Fleetcenter, Boston, MA
I decided that I needed to see my AJ after he got out of rehab to show my support! We made a poster and put it in the back of my mom's car that said "We love AJ! He's been sober 57 days!" God bless her for dealing with my craziness, haha.
We got floor seats, I think like 22nd row or something. This is the show were Sarah LOST HER TICKET and she had to cry and beg security to let her in! It was so scary, and from that point on, I always hold Sarah's ticket at every concert we go to-- LOL.
When AJ came out to give his thank-you speech and announce that he was 57 days sober, I practically lost my voice from screaming so loud! Another awesome moment was when they moved to the little round stage in the back, we were SO close to them! We were all standing on our chairs and I was trying to get AJ's attention, but was getting sick of waving so I had both arms up and was like half-assed waving, and Brian saw me and imitated me to make fun, and I freaked out and waved with both hands really fast and excited and he did the same thing back! Then we made eye contact and smiled for like 10 seconds-- one of the greatest moments of my life up until that point! Then the bridge came down over the audience and we could touch it-- we were right on the side of it! I got awesome pics of the boys and we threw a teddy bear onto the bridge, but no one ever picked it up. We had attached a note to it and a calling card!
