Jonas Brothers (7/17/09)

July 17, 2009-- Jonas Brothers
TDBank Garden, Boston, MA

Remember that one time in 2006 I thought to myself, "Oh those Jonas Brothers, I can't imagine that they will ever be able to play the Garden. They won't ever be that big." Oops. Fast forward only 3 years later and here they are, with not one but TWO sold out nights at the Garden. **gasp**
The meet and greet for this show was of course complicated in the beginning (with security that didn't know anything about what was going on) and then ended up being awesome. Big Rob was SO nice and excited to see us, and gave me a jumbo-sized hug and the usual "hey baby how you doin baby good to see you baby." Haha I love him. The boys were SO nice and genuinely happy to see us, because it had been a whole year! I prepared a small speech to give them, and after I took my pic with them I took Nick's hand and looked him right in the eyes and said "I just wanted to say that watching you guys go from playing little mall shows with 50 people to playing at sold-out arenas all over the world is amazing, I'm so proud of you and you deserve it after all your hard work." Nick got really quiet because I could see that he was really touched by that and just said "thank you so much." That's when Joe also kind of snapped out of the usualy daze he is in during meet and greets and was leaning over my shoulder listening to what I was saying to Nick. I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty damn cute.
We ran in when Honor Society was playing. They rocked it, and we displayed our awesome Honor-Roll dancing skills. Our seats were UNBELIEVABLE... we were level with the stage on the side, and like 5th row.
This show was WAY over the top. It was like being stuck in a world of special effects complete with lasers, pyro and even a water-screen. The stage was in the round, and the boys could clearly see us (and Nick often watched us for way too long haha). One of the best parts of the show was when they did "Year 3000"... which is now the only song they do from their first CD. Kevin "dancing in the rain" literally made me laugh out loud.

(one of my fav concert photos of all time, see the HERO sign?)
